Government Contract Opportunity Research and Capture Support

Searching SAM.gov and state portals can take hours and still leave you unsure which bids are worth your time. I research federal, state, and local opportunities that match what your business can deliver, and I tell you plainly which ones are strong fits and which are not.

Who this is for

This is for business owners who are new to government work, who lack the time to search, or who have their registrations in place but no pipeline of opportunities yet.

I screen opportunities against four things: what your company does, where you can perform the work, the qualifications and set-asides you hold, and the size of contract you can realistically deliver. I do not promise a fixed number of opportunities. If few strong matches exist, I say so and widen the search where it makes sense.

What you receive

  • A focused list of opportunities screened against your capabilities
  • Notes on why each one fits or does not
  • Agency, location, set-aside, and deadline details for each
  • Related notices worth watching, such as sources sought notices and requests for information
  • Suggested next steps for the strongest matches, including pursuit planning and possible teaming

How it works

  1. 1

    Tell me about your business

Share what you do, where you work, and the kind of contracts you want.

  2. 2

    I define the search

We settle on the codes, geography, and contract types to focus on.

  3. 3

    I search and screen

I look across federal, state, and local sources and filter for real fit.

  4. 4

    You get the shortlist

You receive the opportunities with my notes, and we decide on next steps together.

What I need from you

  • A description of your services and what you can deliver
  • The areas where you can work and how far you can travel
  • Your NAICS codes, certifications, and registration status, if you have them
  • Your capacity, such as staff, equipment, and the contract size you can handle
  • Past performance or references, if you have any
  • Anything you want to avoid, such as certain contract types or locations

Timing

Research timelines depend on how broad the search is, whether it covers federal only or also state and local buyers, how clearly your capabilities and targets are defined, and how many relevant opportunities are active right now.

If a specific opportunity has a deadline, tell me in your request. Time-sensitive research is welcome, and I will confirm what I can support before you commit.

Verified client · Upwork · Government Contract Opportunity Research

Isaac did a great job researching government contracting opportunities that matched my small business and the services I provide. He was honest about which opportunities were strong fits and which ones were not, rather than simply giving me unrelated results to meet a number. He continued searching, expanded the search area when needed, and ultimately found an opportunity that closely aligned with my field inspection services. I appreciated his attention to detail, transparency, and willingness to answer follow-up questions. I would work with him again.

    Common questions

    Do you guarantee opportunities?

No. I do not promise a set number of opportunities. I look for genuine fits and tell you honestly what the market shows.

Which levels of government do you cover?

    Federal, state, and local opportunities.

    Do I need a SAM.gov registration first?

Not to start the research. Federal awards generally require an active SAM.gov registration, and I can help with that separately.

    What happens after the research?

You decide which opportunities to pursue. From there I can help with a solicitation review, a capability statement, or proposal writing.

What do you need to get started?

A description of your business, where you work, and the kind of contracts you want. Your codes and certifications help if you have them.

Is there a charge to talk first?

If our first conversation is enough, there is no charge.
